WEDDING PARTY |
|

The
McCutcheon-Roberts (Laura's maiden name) family goes back to just
around the time Emma was born. It must have been more than just luck
that our families lived around the corner from one another when we
were kids because as adults Emma found herself only a few doorsteps
away from Laura (and hubby Jai) when she first moved to Vancouver.
The ladies have had a lot of fun over the last four years taking
turns hosting dinner, celebrating life's milestones and
accomplishments, chatting, listening, and laughing, and even being
roomies! Laura is more than just a dear friend, she is a sister.
Best Man:
Christopher Calvert
Craig's
senior by two years, Chris never fails to bestow upon his younger
brother the multitude of wisdom he has gained from his worldly
travels. From how to cover up holes we've bashed in the walls,
to how to drive your teachers absolutely insane, Craig has learned
much from his teachings. A heck of a good piano player, and a
professional speaker, Chris attempts to temper his personality with
a thick lacquer of social responsibility and etiquette. Those
of us close to him can still see his wild haired, defiant, and
extremely funny nature rearing its ugly head from time to time.
Craig is extremely honoured to have his brother by his side on our
wedding day.

Groomsmen:
|
|
Shannon
Willies
The
debate still rages on as to when the Willies Kid and Emma
'officially' became 'best friends', but after a couple of decades -
who's counting?!? Emma has many great memories of the flute trio,
hiking, Camp Banting, Pathfinders, general horsing around, and
walking each other half way home!
|
Andrew Tilston
An
old highschool buddy of Craig's, Andrew is best known for tearing
around town in his rally-prepped Audi TT and causing general mayhem.
Definitely a bad influence on Craig, he tries to stay as far away
from him as possible. |
|
Jen Roberts
From
singing in front of the school, to Guiding, to playing in the band,
to coaching soccer and Dawson's Creek, to learning to cook turkey,
to being roomies, to Jen's wedding and beyond, Emma and Jen continue
to share in the amazing friendship they started when they were five. |
Dan Mayer
Dan
and Craig went to Vancouver Film School together, and have worked at
almost all of the same companies since. Known for being pretty
much insane when it comes to extreme sports, Dan lands Craig in the
hospital from time to time.
|
|
Shaila Bansal
It
only took a year for Shaila to tell all of her friends that we were
saying her name wrong (it's 'Shell-a' not Shae-la'), but Emma knew
they would stay good friends after that! Shaila has made the trip
"out west" to complete her MBA and Emma couldn't be happier to have
her
out here. |
Jai Howell
Opening
Craig's eyes to a whole new wide world of musical influences, Jai is
always one to whip out some cool CDs. A friend in
Vancouver for over 4 years, and married to Laura, Jai is always
there to help solidify the common idea that all we talk about is
cars, hockey or video games. |
|
Amy Lidington
Hampsta
(aka Amy) and Smemm (aka Emma) were floor-, house- and
neighbourhood-mates during their stay at Queen's. University and
Emma's life since then would not have been nearly as fun,
entertaining, happy or sane without Amy's friendship, humour and
endless energy and support.
|
Robert Burke
Many
a great time shared back at Queen's University, Rob and Craig not
only lived together, but were business partners as well. Rob
went on to great things at MIT and beyond, and I'm sure he's much
smarter than all of us combined. |
|
Master
of Ceremonies: Drew McCutcheon

As Emma's older brother, Drew has had
the last 28 years to think about and practice for this
moment. Not likely. In reality, Drew and his wife Glenda
have been very busy this past year with the birth of
their first son, Benjamin. We're very happy that the
whole family will be here to celebrate with us. |
