HIKING TRIP ON NOOTKA ISLAND

Summer 2003 - Nootka Island Beach-hike.
We chartered a float-plane to fly us to the far side of Vancouver Island and drop us at the North end of the remote Nootka beach-hike route.  For the next 6 days we had a fantastic time making our way over the sand and rocks, bushwhacking through the dense brush, and camping on the beach.  We saw whales, wolves, and tons of tracks in the sand throughout this grueling and fantastic trip.
