Ultrasounds

2D Ultrasounds - 19 weeks 6 days

Here's a look at the first glimpse we had at our son.  He's shaping up to be quite a cutie!

Coincidentally, we've updated our "name" for him during the pregnancy. The other day, Craig asked Kaden what we should call his little brother. I'm pretty sure Kaden either didn't hear what was asked or didn't understand, but without missing a beat he said "Goat". So there you have it. Goat it is. In retrospect, I have heard Kaden refer to a drink as goat...perhaps he was just particularly thirsty that fateful day?!?

3D Ultrasounds - 24 weeks 1 day

Although we already know the gender, we wanted to do a 3D ultrasound like we did with Kaden. It was such a surreal experience to watch our unborn son up on a big tv monitor as he went about his daily business! He was quite active, despite being folded in half. Honestly, he spent the first half of the appointment scratching his forehead with his feet! After I took a short walk around the room and drank a cold drink of water, he finally stretched himself out a little more so we could glimpse his face without peeking through his legs (although in his first position we were clearly able to confirm he is a boy)! He yawned and stretched and even showed-off an impressive "Calvert furrow"!

Something new from the last time we had this experience is live-action video clips! We do have a DVD of our entire session, but the technician was able to record a few small clips of Goat moving about. Amazing.
